The friendship of a decade came to an end on this particular day.
She finally gave up and didn't do anything to save it as her friend chose her crush over their friendship.
They behave sweetly in chats or talking to you personally. While in public, they do the exact opposite thing.
The silent treatment lasted for a week. We used to sit on the same seat with so many words left unsaid.
She ignored my complete existence that day.
I know how easy it seems today to remember this. It was a subject of my depression 4 years back.
You may take this thing lightly. But the people you hang around with, they hold the power to ruin your mental health directly/indirectly.
The main thing which arises is the need to distance yourself from such people who are wasting your time, emotions and energy. It is better to cut them off, from your life.
Even after every small fights and disagreements, the girl always tried to make this bond last. But her bestfriend gave her infinite reasons not to.
They pass taunts disguised as funny comments to belittle you.
They always jump from one friend to another, just for their favours.
The sooner you realise this, the happier you will be.
Instead of any support they always judge you and gossip behind your back.
They are jealous of you and always compare you with their circumstances.
It was an unforgettable day. I remember this was the first time when I stood first in a quiz competition.

They pretend to be your friend. Your existence doesn't hold any value to them.

Identifying fake friends is easy as the points are noticeable and they can be observed with someone's behvaiour.
Is the saying "nice guys finish last" true? Can good intentions always lead to positive outcomes?
This was one of the major heartbreaks which is now just a topic of immaturity and naive behaviour to laugh upon.
I don't completely blame someone else for this but me. As I was the one who got attached and blindly trusted someone.
